DRAFTING
HAND
DRAFTING
My education began with hand-drafting. Before learning to utilize computerized drafting tools available to architects / drafters, the use of paper, various weight pencils, along with a drafting ruler were where we began our journey, while in school for design.
Auto CAD
While no longer using Auto Cad as a primary tool to draft building plans, I have experience using it. I am able to download any plans I do create as a .dwg files and transfer them to engineers and other professionals who do utilize Auto Cad. I can also import them, then utilize my software to create 3-D models and topography maps.
CHIEF
ARCHITECT
Chief Architect is the Software I currently utilize as my drafting software. I have 8+ years of working with this software and upgrade to the current version on an annual basis. I am proficient in utilizing most aspects of this software and all it provides for designers and architects.
REVIT
I spent a full year of my education using REVIT to create both residential and commercial plan sets. While not the software I use in my business, having had a year of focused REVIT work, the foundation has been laid, and I would be confident in my ability to reacquaint myself with the software.
